McAfee Review – Together is Power

What is McAfee?

Since 1987 McAfee has developed anti-virus protection software. Most of us have ever used this product. This company has re-launched itself this year with more reliable software. They have mainly tried to correct errors in customer service. And they offer new features.

What exactly does McAfee do?

McAfee currently identifies with three main features:

Comprehensive Internet Security.

Multifaceted Security Protection.

Computer Speed Guarantee.

To achieve that, we found that they incorporated options like McAfee Total Protection. It protects against online threats, viruses, Trojans, and ransomware. WebAdvisor warns against potentially dangerous pages, links, and files. It has a Web Boost that pauses automatic video playback. And an App Boost that manages more computer resources to what I’m actively using.

The QuickClean application deletes temporary files and cookies, while the File Lock protects files with passwords. The McAfee Shredder securely deletes confidential files. And we can use it to create secure passwords and use them wherever we need them. The vulnerability scanner tells me when to update an application. One beneficial thing is being able to add 10 or more devices, both desktop, and portable.

How much does it cost?

Being one of the most popular antivirus software brands, the cost of its software is very affordable. And if you compare the quality with what you pay, they are a good option. The plans they offer are:

Individual plan ($34.99) with all options.

Multi-device plan ($39.99) for 5 computers plus identity theft protection.

Family plan ($49.99) with all of the above for 10 devices

Other companies offer similarly priced anti-virus. But they usually have fewer features than McAfee. And those that offer a similar product usually ask for more money. Usually, the computers we buy come with a three-month trial version. There is no online trial version. You can activate the automatic renewal. But we don’t recommend it because other users have bad opinions about it.

Is it reliable?

After analyzing this software’s capacity to protect the devices, we found that it fulfills what it promises. Not to mention that new viruses are emerging at the same speed as technology is growing. But you will protect your and your family’s information. It also delivers by ensuring that it won’t slow down your computer as long as you have an average processor.

Many users on the Internet complained mainly about two things. The first was customer service. They received answers that were not useful or did not respond to them. But that happened in a period between 2015 and 2019. The opinions during 2020 are opposite. The other complaint was from those who did not want automatic renewal. But it is a result of the first customer service problem. There was no one to take care of them.

Protection for 10 or more different devices.

Guaranteed equipment speed.

Broadband protection through Web Boost.

Password generator to protect different online accounts.

Warnings against potentially dangerous sites, files, and links.

Affordable pricing.

Manual or automatic service renewal.

Cleaning of the computer by deleting temporary files and cookies.

Improved customer service.

30-day money-back guarantee.

They are improving the image over the last few years. Mainly customer service.

Some users reported problems when applying updates.

T trial version from the website.

Automatic renewal can be a hassle.

If you are not familiar with the software, the 30-day warranty may be short.

They do not yet have a live chat option. Phone calls only.

Additional product offers can be a hassle.

After analyzing McAfee’s performance, we can say that they have improved. The data protection features. Or improved computer performance is interesting. So are protection plans for multiple computers. With nearly 30 years of experience, it’s no wonder they’re compatible with most computers. The price is reasonable and makes them a good choice compared to the competition.

Unfortunately, they must continue to improve customer service. Communicating with them only by phone can cause many problems. And also loss of time in waiting periods. Allowing users to use email would be a wise move. The interface is easy to use. If they manage to overcome previous years’ administrative problems, the next versions could still have improvements.
